Groningen is the city, municipality and capital in the Dutch province of Groningen. This also makes it the most important city in the Northern Netherlands. It is therefore very understandable that Groningen has a central function for the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe and Overijssel. It is not for nothing that you hear the statement “There is nothing like Groningen!”
The versatile city is known for its culture, events, historical monuments, shopping streets and tasteful restaurants. Groningen also has a number of important and large facilities. For example, you will find the UMCG, the University of Groningen, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, the DUO head office and the third largest Ikea branch in all of Europe. Are you wondering whether you can also go here for sustainable outings? Then we can assure you with confidence that this is also possible here!
In this blog we will therefore introduce you to the top 4 sustainable hotspots in Groningen!
