Discover the coast of the Netherlands?
Go on holiday in South Holland and discover the beauty this province has to offer.
The capital of the province is The Hague, which is best known for the Binnenhof and the Mauritshuis. The Binnenhof is very important for Dutch politics. For example, here you have the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Mauritshuis is a museum with paintings mainly from the Golden Age. Here you will find paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer, among others. If you are going on holiday to South Holland in the spring or autumn, you could take a look at the Japanese garden. This one is open for a limited time but gives a unique experience that you don’t want to miss. Another park is the famous Keukenhof, where there are many colorful flowers. This is the most beautiful spring park in the world, which makes walking through it like a fairytale. In Leidschendam, near The Hague, you will find the Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. This is a new shopping center and one of the largest in the Netherlands: you can shop here endlessly.

Madurodam is a park where you can see all kinds of miniatures of the Netherlands. The park is fun for young and old. In addition, there is Amusement Park Duinrell, with all kinds of different attractions. This park is also fun for young and old because there are quieter and more intense attractions so you can choose what you feel more comfortable with. The park also includes the Tiki Pool, which is the largest water park in the Benelux. There are many different types of slides and there is a large indoor and outdoor pool. You can also go to Familiepark Drievliet during the South Holland holiday. This park has slightly less exciting attractions than Duinrell, but provides just as much fun.
Scheveningen is the most popular seaside resort in the Netherlands and is a district of The Hague. It does not surprise us that Scheveningen is so popular: the Pier and the Boulevard are beautiful to see. At the Pier you can bungee jump, zipline or take it easy on the Ferris wheel. There is also a surf school and you can eat well with a beautiful view. There is also plenty to do on the Boulevard. There are many eateries, there is a large shopping center called the Palace Promenade, you have LEGO LAND, SEA LIFE and a Holland Casino.
Until 2004, Rotterdam was the largest port in the world and is currently the largest port in Europe. After Amsterdam, the city has the most inhabitants in the Netherlands and is also known for the Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in 2021. There is therefore plenty to do. During your holiday in South Holland, you can shop in the Markthal, take a look at the Euromast and the Erasmus Bridge or spend a day at the Blijdorp zoo.
