So book your trip as early as possible; unlike airplanes, it is often not possible to book last minute cheap on train holiday to go. Another tip is not to split your trip outside the Netherlands; if you are delayed and you miss the train of your onward journey, you run the risk of having to purchase a completely new ticket. Traveling on the weekend is usually more expensive than during the week. Also pay attention to the times when you book your trip. For example, traveling at night is cheaper than during the day and also quieter. It is also possible to travel with a night train in Europe.
