Cross the Erasmus Bridge in the direction of Katendrecht or take the metro to the Wilhelminaplein stop for a visit to the Luxor Theater, an exhibition in the Nederlands Fotomuseum or one of the delicious restaurants that have their home base here. Special: the current Hotel New York is the former headquarters of the famous trans-Atlantic connection Rotterdam – New York, founded in 1873.
Rotterdam has the harbour, but at seaside resorts such as Scheveningen, Katwijk and Noordwijk you will encounter some of the most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands. Spend the night in South Holland and take a dip in the North Sea in the morning, or make it a beach holiday. In addition to swimming, kite surfing and flying kites, you will also find very nice beach bars, nightlife and you can walk in the dunes or on the boulevard. Spending the night in Delft is something you must have done once as a Dutch person. Delft has a rich history and an atmospheric inner canal that looks romantic. In the Prinsenhof Museum you can still see the bullet holes from the murder of William of Orange, and a tour of the factory of the famous Delft blue porcelain is also a popular trip. There is also plenty to do because of the presence of the students of the Technical University.
Rotterdam is working hard on its international allure. Last year, the city put itself on the map with the song festival, but connoisseurs have known for much longer that staying overnight in Rotterdam is worth it. View the skyline from the Euromast and visit hotspots such as the harbor, the market hall and the museum park.
The Hague can be perfectly combined! When the weather is nice, you can easily reach the pier of Scheveningen or the beaches of Kijkduin, while the city center is also a great place to stay. Visit the Binnenhof, the Mauritshuis or attractions such as Madurodam and Duinrell.
